How you earn on Metapic
According to its German homepage, you pick a product from the brands on Metapic and create your personal affiliate link for it, or you turn a product link into a trackable link. You share it on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat or other channels. You see clicks and earnings in your dashboard and, according to the FAQ, in the creator app for iOS and Android.
The homepage puts earnings from clicks up front. The terms (as of 29 September 2026) are broader: Metapic pays commission for clicks and/or for leads or sales (CPA, cost per acquisition) or for activities. What a transaction earns is shown in the tool. Rates are set by the brands and/or Metapic and may change. A note under the earnings calculator says your click prices rise over time as you post high-quality content and engagement grows.
On top of that come campaigns with brands. According to the homepage, a Metapic expert supports you through them, and talent managers look after creators in their own language, including a contact in Berlin. On gifted products, the homepage says creators with a strong community receive them regularly; the FAQ says brands occasionally send samples to top-performing creators. For your link in bio, the homepage mentions a free creator landing page.
What Metapic’s terms say
The terms, last updated on 29 September 2026, are in English even on the German website. They are governed by Swedish law, and Swedish courts have jurisdiction (clause 9.5). The points below matter most day to day. Some of them apply in a similar way on wyrld, for example that sales commission is only paid once the shop has paid, and that you are responsible for your own tax. Compare the wording of each before you sign up.
- Joining: you must be at least 18 (clause 3.1). The contract starts when you activate your account after Metapic’s acceptance email (clause 5.1).
- Evidence: on request you send links and images of the posts that generated the traffic, because you are only paid if you can show where it came from (clause 2.3). Linked products must not differ considerably from those in your picture (clause 3.7).
- Payout: monthly in arrears to your bank account once you reach €50 or the equivalent in your local currency (clauses 2.5 to 2.7); according to the FAQ, you can request a payout from that amount. Leads and sales are only paid out once the brand has paid in full (clause 2.6). The total in the tool is preliminary (clause 2.4). Depending on the set-up, Metapic pays you directly, or your agency pays you (clause 2.5).
- Tax: you receive a self-billing invoice in the tool. Under clause 2.5 you are responsible for tax and social security contributions on the payments; the clause mentions withholding by Metapic only for Sweden.
- Leaving: either side can give 7 days’ notice in writing (clause 5.1). Afterwards you remove all advertising and links relating to Metapic’s services straight away, and you earn no further commission (clause 5.3).

Alternatives to Metapic and when they fit
If you already work with one programme, what matters most is what another one adds and how much work it takes per product. Then there is what you are paid for: the click, the sale or both.
- wyrld fits if you recommend products from many different shops and only want to paste the link for each product: wyrld looks for the same item across more than 90,000 partner shops, Amazon included, and creates the affiliate link for every offer it finds, without you signing up to any networks. Your community sees the offers side by side with prices. You are paid per click, per sale or both, depending on the shop, your agency can work with you from its own dashboard, and from wyrld’s side you can keep your Metapic links.
- Metapic fits if click-based pay matters to you and you want to work on campaigns with brands on Metapic, supported by a contact who speaks your language. According to its FAQ, it usually accepts creators from 5,000 Instagram followers.
- LTK fits if you mainly want to earn on sales and collect your recommendations in your own LTK shop. According to its German FAQ, brands usually offer 10 to 25% commission, you get a personal manager once accepted, and you can apply with 5,000 followers or more.
- Stylink fits if you want to be paid for genuine clicks. Under its terms (as of August 2026) you need at least 1,000 followers on Instagram or TikTok and must be 18 or over.
- The Amazon Associates programme (Partnerprogramm) fits if you mainly recommend products from Amazon. According to the PartnerNet help pages, Amazon reviews your application once you have made at least three sales in the first 180 days; your own orders do not count.
Alongside Metapic or instead of it: how it works on wyrld
Say you link a jumper in your story through Metapic. You add the same jumper to your wyrld storefront, which is linked in your bio. There, your community sees the offers wyrld finds for it in its partner shops, with prices side by side, and buys directly from the shop at no extra cost; the cheapest of the new offers found is labelled “Best price”. According to Bitkom (2022), the lowest price is a decisive factor for 65% of online shoppers in Germany when choosing a shop.
For your storefront you only paste the link for each product or pick it from the catalogue. wyrld recognises brand, name and variant, looks for the same item across more than 90,000 partner shops, Amazon included, and creates the affiliate link for every offer it finds; you don’t sign up to any networks yourself. Depending on the shop, you are paid per click, per sale or both. You get a Gutschrift (self-billing credit note) at the start of the following month, including as a Kleinunternehmer (small business scheme); sales commission follows once the shop has paid wyrld and is based on the net value after returns and cancellations.
If you work with an agency, it gets its own dashboard, runs your storefront with you and sees the same figures. wyrld deducts an agreed commission share from your earnings, and you each get a separate credit note. wyrld’s creator terms do not require exclusivity, so from wyrld’s side you can keep your Metapic links. Through wyrld Boost, brands also pay for campaigns that run across many creators at once, based on KPIs set in advance. That is no promise that you will be part of one; you decide yourself if you join. You can sign up as an Unternehmer (business) under § 14 BGB, and wyrld is free for creators.
