Is there a free alternative to Stan Store if I mainly recommend products?
Yes. According to its help centre, Stan Store is built for selling your own courses, downloads, bookings and memberships, and it has no free plan at the moment: the Creator plan costs $29 a month and Creator Pro $99 (as of October 2026). You add affiliate links there as external links. Free options include wyrld, a creator storefront that creates the affiliate links for you, as well as LTK, Stylink and the free plans of Linktree and Beacons.

With wyrld you get your own creator storefront with products from 90,000+ partner shops, and wyrld creates the affiliate links for you. Free for creators.
What Stan Store costs and what you get
| Plan | Price according to Stan | What’s included |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | $29 a month or $300 a year | storefront, courses, calendar and bookings, memberships, collecting email addresses (lead magnets), community, automated Instagram replies (AutoDM) |
| Creator Pro | $99 a month or $948 a year | plus discount codes, add-on offers at checkout (upsells), sales funnels, payment plans, email marketing, affiliates for your own products, tracking pixels for Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok |
| Trial | 14 days free | you can sell during the trial once a payment provider is connected |
| Affiliate-only account | free, but Stan says it is not a free store | a link to promote a creator’s product you bought or were given access to on Stan, and cashing out commission; no store features |
According to the help centre, Stan takes 0% of the sales in your store, and you only pay the subscription. The payment providers charge their own fees. Paying yearly instead of twelve monthly payments saves $48 on Creator ($300 instead of $348) and $240 on Creator Pro ($948 instead of $1,188). You can cancel under Billing in your settings, and your account stays usable until the end of the period you have paid for. Each subscription covers one store; a second store needs its own.
Linking products through Stan: how it works and what has to sell
| Plan and billing | Subscription per year | Sales needed at an assumed 5% commission |
|---|---|---|
| Creator, yearly | $300 | $6,000 |
| Creator, monthly | $348 | $6,960 |
| Creator Pro, yearly | $948 | $18,960 |
| Creator Pro, monthly | $1,188 | $23,760 |
On Stan, an affiliate link is a “URL / Media” product. You paste the address, upload an image or pick one from Stan’s stock library, write a title, a description and a button label, and choose the Button, Callout or Embed style. According to the help centre, the same product type works for Amazon or Shopify storefronts, podcast episodes and videos. You paste the affiliate link as a finished address, the way your affiliate programme gives it to you, and that programme pays the commission under its own rules.
You pay the subscription even if nobody buys through your links. Say your programmes pay 5% commission on average on what is left after returns: the right-hand column shows the sales your links would need to bring in over a year before the commission covers the subscription. On the monthly Creator plan, that is $580 in sales through your links every month. The 5% is an assumption for this example, not the rate of any particular programme. Tax and payment fees are not included.
Using Stan Store from Germany: what the help centre says
- Payouts go through Stripe or a second payment provider. You set up the Stripe account through Stan, and Stan manages it; you cannot connect an existing one. Germany, Austria and Switzerland are on the list of countries.
- You can price in euros, as well as in US dollars, pounds, Polish złoty and Swedish kronor, among others. The currency applies to the whole store and can only be changed once Stripe is connected.
- The admin, storefront and checkout are available in 12 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian and Polish. German is not on the list.
- You have to be at least 18 to accept payments. According to Stan, its payment providers require this.
- Stripe payments are cashed out inside Stan once your available balance is worth at least $10, and only the full balance at once; sales through the second provider go straight to your account there. For creators outside the US, Stripe takes up to seven business days before a payment can be cashed out.
Alternatives without a subscription if you mainly recommend products
| Cost, according to the provider | What you earn on products | Suits you if … | |
|---|---|---|---|
| wyrld | free: no sign-up fee, no subscription, no cost per product; wyrld earns a share of what shops pay | per click, per sale or both, depending on the shop; wyrld creates the affiliate link for every offer it finds, with no network sign-ups on your part | you recommend products from many shops and only want to paste the link; your community sees offers from several shops side by side with prices, and your agency can work with you through its own dashboard; no exclusivity, so it also works alongside Stan or other programmes |
| LTK | app is free | commission on sales, usually 10 to 25% depending on the brand, according to its FAQ | you mainly want to earn on sales and want your own shop on LTK; according to its FAQ, you apply with at least 5,000 followers |
| Stylink | generally free for creators (terms, § 2(7)) | per genuine click (terms, § 3) | you want to be paid for clicks without a sale too; according to its terms, from 1,000 followers on Instagram or TikTok |
| ShopMy | no subscription mentioned; ShopMy keeps 18% of commission, in some cases it charges the brand a fee instead | commission on sales | you want to work with brands on ShopMy; you apply via the waitlist, usually from 1,000 followers, reviewed case by case |
| Linktree | free plan with unlimited basic links, Shop tab for every account | through affiliate links from your own programmes; Linktree Shops commission only in the US | you want a link-in-bio page and are happy to add the affiliate links yourself |
| Beacons | free plan at $0, free forever according to Beacons | affiliate links to what Beacons says are over 12,000 brand partners, with a 9% transaction fee on the free plan | you want link in bio, a media kit (your figures for brands) and a store in one place |
The details come from the providers’ own pages: LTK’s FAQ, Stylink’s terms (AGB, August 2026), ShopMy’s help centre, Linktree’s help pages and pricing page and Beacons’ pricing page, read on 21 October 2026. The wyrld row describes wyrld, the publisher of this page. On Linktree and Beacons, without a subscription means the free plan, which has fewer features than the paid plans. The ShopMy help pages listed here mention no subscription. ShopMy’s help pages describe the commission rate shown differently: one says it already accounts for ShopMy’s cut, another calls it the gross commission. Beacons’ pricing page does not say if its brand partners pay commission on purchases from Germany; when a paid Beacons plan without the 9% pays off is worked out on the Beacons page. According to its help centre, ShopMy also accepts creators outside the US.
Stan Store and wyrld side by side
| Stan Store (according to its help centre) | wyrld | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | your own courses, downloads, bookings, memberships and community | product recommendations from more than 90,000 partner shops, Amazon included |
| Cost for creators | $29 a month or $300 a year, 14-day trial, no free plan for now | free, no subscription; wyrld earns a share of what shops pay |
| Adding a product | create a URL product with an address, image and text | paste a link or pick from the catalogue; wyrld recognises brand, name and variant |
| Affiliate links | you paste them into the URL product as a finished address | wyrld creates one for every offer it finds, with no network sign-ups on your part |
| What your community sees for a product | depending on the style, image, title, description and a button to the address you pasted | offers found shown side by side with prices, the cheapest new offer marked “Best price” |
| Earnings on product recommendations | through the affiliate link from your own programme that you add as a URL product | per click, per sale or both, depending on the shop, even when your community picks a different shop from the comparison |
| Payout | store sales via Stripe (cash out from a $10 balance) or straight to your account with the second payment provider | Gutschrift (self-billing credit note) at the start of the following month, earnings in euros |
| Access for your agency | no separate admin access for team members for now, only by sharing your login | its own dashboard: maintains your storefront with you and sees the figures; the agreed commission share (0 to 100%) comes out of your earnings, separate credit notes |
| Alongside other programmes | add links from other programmes and storefronts, such as Amazon or Shopify, as URL products | no exclusivity under the creator terms; you can also add your wyrld storefront to Stan as a URL product |
Stan suits you if you want to sell your own courses, coaching, downloads or memberships. That is what the store is built for, and according to the help centre Stan takes nothing from those sales. What changes when you sell yourself is covered on the page about affiliate links versus your own products. If you mainly recommend other brands’ products, you don’t need the selling features, but you still pay the subscription.
You can combine the two. Stan itself lists Amazon and Shopify storefronts as common URL products. In the same way, you can add your wyrld storefront to your Stan Store as a URL product: courses and coaching stay on Stan, and your product recommendations sit in the storefront with price comparison.
How it works on wyrld
Instead of creating a URL product with an image and text for each item, on wyrld you paste the product link or pick the product from the catalogue. wyrld recognises the brand, name and variant, looks for the same item across more than 90,000 partner shops and creates an affiliate link for every offer it finds. You don’t need to sign up with any network for this. There is no subscription, so there is no break-even point like the one in the table above: no sign-up fee, no cost per product; wyrld earns a share of what shops pay.
In your storefront, your community sees what a product costs at the shops found and buys wherever it likes, at no extra cost; “Best price” marks the cheapest new offer. According to Bitkom (2022), 65% of people who shop online in Germany say the lowest price is a decisive factor when choosing a shop. You earn per click, per sale or both, depending on the shop, even when your community picks a different shop from the comparison. At the start of the following month you receive a Gutschrift (self-billing credit note), even under the Kleinunternehmer (small business) scheme, so you don’t write an invoice. Commission on sales is paid out once the shop or affiliate programme has paid wyrld. You can take part as an Unternehmer (business) under § 14 BGB, meaning you work as a creator on a commercial or self-employed basis.
If you work with an agency, it gets its own dashboard on wyrld, maintains your storefront with you and sees the same figures. wyrld deducts the agreed commission share from your earnings, and the agency gets its own credit note for it. The wyrld creator terms do not require exclusivity, so your courses and coaching can stay on Stan. Through wyrld Boost, brands also pay for campaigns that run across many creators and pay out based on key figures (KPIs) set in advance. That is no promise that you will be part of one; taking part in a campaign is up to you.
Frequently asked questions.
Is Stan Store free?
No. According to its help centre, Stan has no free plan at the moment: the Creator plan costs $29 a month or $300 a year, Creator Pro $99 a month or $948 a year. You can try it free for 14 days. Stan says many people mistake its affiliate-only accounts for a free store, but they include no store features.
Is Stan Store available in German?
Not as of October 2026. According to the help centre, the admin, storefront and checkout come in 12 languages, and German is not one of them. You can price in euros once Stripe is connected, and the Stripe account set up through Stan is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The help centre itself is in English.
Does Stan Store take a cut of my sales?
According to the help centre, no: Stan takes 0% of sales in your store, and you only pay the subscription. The payment providers charge fees that depend on country, currency and payment method. With affiliate links added as URL products, your community buys in the shop, not on Stan, and the affiliate programme pays the commission under its own rules.
Is Stan Store worth it just for affiliate links?
It depends on how much people buy through your links. Say your programmes pay 5% commission: on Stan’s yearly Creator plan ($300), your links need to bring in $6,000 in sales a year before the commission covers the subscription. You also pay for the course, booking and membership features, even if you don’t use them.
Can I use Stan Store and wyrld at the same time?
On wyrld’s side, yes: the wyrld creator terms do not require exclusivity. You can add your wyrld storefront to your Stan Store as a URL product, the way Stan describes for Amazon or Shopify storefronts, or put it straight into your bio. What Stan allows is set out in the terms you agree to there.
